Imam is supposed to be a leader not a slave. The committee has no right to dictate the Imam in religious matters.
Imam should be allowed to speak on any subject that doesn’t contradict Shari’ah or the Law of the Land.
Imamat is a 24hr job. Imams can’t have a set routine because their daily life (eating, sleeping, etc.) changes according to Salaah (between summer and winter there is a lot of difference in Salaah times).
Also, wherever the Imam goes he must return to the Masjid where he does Imamat for Salaah. Meaning must think twice before he goes anywhere or thinks of doing anything.
Most Imams are only doing Imamat because they have no other choice.
